The city has launched new measures to effectively reach different population groups. In particular, information related to COVID-19 vaccinations is taken to where people move in their daily lives. In addition, social and health care professionals have visited other language communities on site.
The aim is to ensure that, for example, the right information on COVID-19 vaccinations is as easy to find as possible. In addition, places will be created for discussions in your own language, which can be used to correct faulty information related to vaccinations.
Pop-up vaccinations in different places
Pop-up vaccination points have been operating across the city. Operations will continue next week at Itäkeskus and Kontula metro station. In addition to the information, the points also provide the first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccinations.
At the same time, the city, in cooperation with the Kide Foundation, has launched a foreign language COVID-19 counselling service. The counsellors travel around Helsinki to meet people who need vaccination information. In addition, the Helsinki City Information Center has launched permanent regional measures and multilingual service advisors can be met once a week at, for example, Kontula Library, Kanneltalo and Malmi Library.
